Use-by drives the pick, not the picker
Cases pick oldest use-by first inside the face they are given, so first-expired-first-out is what happens automatically, not a rule someone has to remember.
Expiry tiers, at a glance
Stock on hand is drawn as blocks sized by how much you hold and shaded by how close the oldest use-by in that block is — the categories about to go out of date stand out without a report.
Case picking, directed
Picking on the phone, one instruction at a time, with shorts and replens raised on the spot rather than discovered at the end of the run.
Stock takes, blind and countable
Counted sessions with a blind second count, so a stock take is a comparison of two independent counts rather than one person's word.
Goods-in, with the evidence attached
What was declared checked against what actually came off the pallet, with the paperwork photographed and a pack you can send to anyone who asks.
